Energy and climate

How do people deal with sustainable development? What do policy makers, office workers or end users think about sustainable or renewable energy? How can people be stimulated to save energy and behave sustainably? Which renewable energy techniques can be applied best to save as much energy as possible?

IVAM aims at a reduction of the use of fossil fuels by saving energy, using sustainable energy and improving energy efficiency. IVAM conducts research and offers advice on many levels: from information and education about environmental and sustainability issues to evaluating energy projects in urban districts. IVAM supports you with the following:

Evaluation and monitoring: IVAM investigates the effect of your policy, technical intervention and behavioural campaign on sustainability.
Behavioural campaigns: Sustainability has much to do with human behaviour. An effective way to change people's behaviour requires a well-considered approach that fits the target group. IVAM develops suitable behavioural campaigns.

Energy neutral and climate proof areas: IVAM supports municipalities and project developers in selecting the optimal energy system and design in order to create an energy neutral and climate proof district. For example using the DPL Climate tool which measures how climate proof (based on adaptation and mitigation aspects) an area is.

Independence from fossil fuels: the number-one challenge of the 21st century.
